released March 11, 2017

Black Spruce Bog was formed in a basement on Burden Street in 2013. Over the past four years we’ve had the incredible privilege of performing live in communities from Haida Gwaii to the Comox Valley.

This album represents our attempt to capture the raw spirit of songs that were written about where we live and were brought to life by the people who kept encouraging us to play.

It was recorded live off the floor in one continuous take. There are no gaps in recording.

Cinematographer Samuel Ellis recorded the performance, which can be found online.

Black Spruce Bog Prince George, British Columbia
